Is Loreon a chat app?
No. You type freely the same way you would in a chat, but you are playing a story: there is a world, a plot, tracked consequences, and an ending. Characters answer you inside that, rather than in an open-ended conversation.
Are there cards, energy, or collectibles?
No cards, and nothing to collect. Play is metered by actions rather than by an energy bar you watch refill: signed-in players get a daily allowance, a subscription gives a larger one, and no individual choice inside a story ever costs extra.
Is there voice?
No. Loreon is written prose with illustrations — there is no voice chat or character voice, which Talkie has and some players specifically want.
What is Talkie better at?
Honestly, a few things. Its character roster is far bigger, it has voice and collectible card mechanics that Loreon has no equivalent of, and casual open-ended chatting is exactly what it is designed for. If you want a character to talk to rather than a story to play, it is the better fit.
